Letter to the Community
Dear Residents of Rocky Ford,
The recent snowstorm has presented significant challenges for our community, including disruptions to our regular trash pickup services. Due to the heavy snowfall, not all trash toters were accessible for collection, and on some routes, our trucks were unable to reach residents. We believe we are back on track. However, if your trash has not been picked up, please call City Hall at 719-254-7414 to request this service.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. While we regret that we cannot offer discounts on utility bills, we want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to address the situation. As part of our efforts, the city has been actively picking up and disposing of tree branches at no cost to residents.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to the cleanup efforts—whether by clearing roads and sidewalks, digging out vehicles, or helping to collect tree branches. Your cooperation and community spirit are invaluable as we work together to overcome these challenges.
Thank you for your understanding and support. Together, we can move forward for the betterment of Rocky Ford.
Sincerely,
Stacey Milenski, City Manager
City of Rocky Ford
